What we provide

At ProCare Nursing, we are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred support for children and young people of all abilities across Cardiff and the Vale.

We recognise that every child is unique, with their own strengths, interests, needs, and aspirations, and we tailor our support to help them thrive. Our Children's Services are designed to promote wellbeing, independence, confidence, and inclusion, ensuring that children and young people can participate fully in family life, education, social activities, and their local communities.

We have experience supporting children and young people with a wide range of physical disabilities, learning disabilities, neurodevelopmental conditions, complex healthcare needs, and additional support requirements. Whether providing personal care, community access, social support, respite services, or specialist care, our focus is always on delivering safe, compassionate, and empowering support.

Staff & training

A dedicated, well-trained team

Our dedicated team is committed to creating nurturing environments where children feel valued, listened to, and understood. We actively encourage children and young people to express their views and wishes, ensuring that their voices remain at the heart of decisions about their care and support.

By building genuine relationships and understanding each child's feelings and experiences, our approach promotes emotional wellbeing, resilience, and a sense of safety, helping children develop confidence and positive relationships. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, enjoy meaningful experiences, and achieve the outcomes that matter most to them.

Compliments

What families say

When ProCare first came into our lives, everything felt overwhelming. From day one, the staff took time to really understand my son — not just his needs, but who he is as a person. Now, he smiles when his carers arrive. ProCare didn't just support my child — they supported our whole family.

Parent

My daughter has complex needs and we've had many providers before, but none like this. The staff treat her with genuine kindness and respect. For the first time, I feel like people truly see her and not just her diagnosis.

Parent

Before ProCare, I honestly didn't think I could keep going. Now, I know my child is safe. The staff are reliable, calm, and always keep me updated. I can take a break without feeling guilty or anxious. That peace of mind is priceless.

Parent

I like my carers because they listen to me. They help me go out and do things I like, like going to the park and getting food. They don't rush me and they understand me. I feel happy and safe when they are with me.

Young person we support

We started with ProCare at a really difficult time. The team stepped in without judgment. They were calm, consistent, and worked with us to build a proper plan. We feel supported, listened to, and no longer alone in it.

Family

My son struggles with change, so having consistent staff has been key. The carers have built such a strong relationship with him — he trusts them completely. That stability has made a huge difference to his wellbeing.

Parent

With my support workers, I've been able to try new things. I go out more and do things myself with help. They help me feel confident and more independent. I like spending time with them.

Young person we support

Nothing is ever too much trouble for this team. Whether it's adapting support, helping during a crisis, or just checking in — they always go above and beyond.
